Christ makes God knowable
Hey guys! Sorry it's been such a long time since I've posted anything...almost a month to the day. Work has been wicked-busy, to the point where I barely have time to breathe for myself. Anyway, I had to get this down before I forget it--but I don't know how I will ever forget it because it moved me like nothing else I have ever heard. This all refers to the title of this post: "Christ makes God knowable."
God created the universe. He spoke it into being. There may not have been a "Big Bang," but that was a big deal. His universe contains billions upon billions upon thousands of billions of stars, not to mention planets. And in the middle of all of that is the speck of dust we so affectionately call Earth. And in the middle of that is the speck of dust we call humanity. And all of that--the universe, the Earth and humanity--sits in the palm of God's hand as a speck of dust. But despite his bigness, he lowered himself in Christ and came down to the speck of dust where humanity resides to be crucified on a cross. And with that, God said, "Here I am, guys."
Proverbs 9:10 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. That whole explanation was given to me last Sunday in Sunday School. And while I have always understood that basic concept, that explanation almost made me cry in public. I just thought I'd share it with everyone else.

it's hard to comprehend...proverbs 30:4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and the name of his son?...
